Sean Coll is a criminal defense attorney at MayesTelles, representing clients charged with a variety of felony and misdemeanor offenses. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Sean graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. During his time in Tucson, he wrote for the local NBC affiliate evening news and the Arizona Daily Star, where he worked full time for a year before law school. Sean then moved to Orange County, California where he earned his law degree from Chapman University School of Law with an emphasis in trial advocacy. Realizing his flair for the courtroom early, Sean was a member of the Chapman Mock Trial Team, where he participated in national competitions - including a first-place finish at an event in New Orleans.
In 2008, Sean began his career with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, where he spent countless hours in the courtroom handling a large caseload of criminal and juvenile cases. After spending a year at a local defense firm and a year in civil litigation, he returned to prosecution at the Pinal County Attorney’s Office and Attorney General’s Office, where he spent 8 years collectively. During that time, Sean handled hundreds of serious and high-profile cases, including complex white-collar fraud, violent domestic violence offenses, sex crimes, vulnerable adult abuse, and first-degree murder.
Throughout his career, Sean’s dedication and performance have been recognized with various awards. On three separate occasions, the Attorney General’s Office recognized him for excellent victim advocacy. He brings that same passion for advocacy to serve his clients at MayesTelles.
