Mark Mendoza is a former prosecutor and bureau chief who spent 12 years prosecuting cases for the State and now defends people accused of serious felonies.
Mark is a partner at MayesTelles PLLC. Before moving to criminal defense, he spent 12 years as a prosecutor in Maricopa and Pinal Counties, handling thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases that ranged from DUIs to murders. He rose to bureau chief, where he trained and mentored younger attorneys.
Mark's perspective on criminal law changed when a close family member received a life sentence. He saw firsthand that an accusation can happen to anyone and that the consequences can be severe and lasting. That experience drives how he advocates for the accused and gives him a perspective that serves his clients well.
As a defense attorney, Mark leverages his years as a prosecutor to analyze how police investigate crimes, identify where cases have weaknesses, and protect his clients’ rights, freedoms, and futures.
Today, Mark focuses on defending clients facing serious felony offenses. He has tried numerous felony jury trials and obtained acquittals for clients at trial, and he prepares every case for the courtroom from the start.
